Fifth Sunday: MTS Praise Band Returns!

The More Than Sundays praise band received overwhelmingly positive responses at our last Fifth Sunday. So we've invited them back for our May 29 Worship Service. The worship format will be much the same, but in response to your suggestions, we'll have more legible words and better instructions as to when to stand and sit. The twist this month is that following the worship service, we will be serving (free) hot dogs and chips on the church lawn. Invite your friends! Invite the neighbors! Everyone is welcome! (Reminder: May 29 starts the summer schedule; This worship service is at 10:00 am.)

God Rocks the Block

God Rocks the Block (13)

The First Presbyterian Church of Niles was rockin’ with the Christian rock band, Affix. Affix has been acclaimed for their original Christian rock music, and have toured West Virginia, Indianapolis, and Virginia. Part of Fourth Street was blocked off for the festivities, which included ice cream and hot dogs from Paris Soda Shop and fresh made-to-order pizza from Talia’s pizza. Dunk-a-Clergy was especially popular.

Youth Group at the Homeless Center

Youth Group at the Homeless Center (7)

The youth came out in force to serve the community. Literally. They not only served lunch to at the homeless center, but helped clean up. They look great in hair nets!

Youth Choir

The Youth Choir is a hardworking group. Kids are taught basic music and singing skills in addition to just getting ready to sing. They occasionally join the Chancel Choir for some part singing. The choir looks forward to the annual out-of-town trip at the end of the year.

Rehearsals Wednesdays 4:30-6:00

The Youth Choir leads worship at the Traditional Worship Service the third Sunday of each month.  All youth 3rd-7th grade are invited to join the choir. Bring your friends!
