Heifer Project

And

CRAFT FAIR

Our date for Heifer Project International and craft fair is Sunday, November 17, in the parlor, at 11am after church service.  We invite everyone to bring a homemade item: sewing, baking, plants, produce, woodworking, jewelry, painting, stained glass, photography, knitting, weaving, canning, pottery, etc.  We sell these along with our farm animal shares.  Please have items priced and delivered by 10am Sunday the 17th.  We will set up on Saturday the16th at 1pm.

We may have guests from other churches, so we are asking you to make your purchases or claims at 11:00, not before, out of courtesy.

We hope you enjoy this festive time of giving to our worldwide struggling farmers.

Thank you from Missions and Outreach

Book Study

“Unshakable Hope,

Building our Lives on the Promises of God.”

(Note date change) On November 18 and 25, we will have a book discussion on Max Lucado’s book, “Unshakable Hope, Building our Lives on the Promises of God.” In his book, Lucado “unpacks 12 of the Bible’s most significant promises, equipping you to overcome difficult circumstances by keeping your focus on the hope found in the promises of Scripture.” I think we all can use a dose of “Unshakeable Hope” so come join us for this 2-part discission.

Collection for Berrien County Cancer Service

For the Berrien County Cancer Service, we are collecting bottles of Ensure and Boost. This is very helpful to cancer patients. This is an ongoing mission. If you would like to help, just place them in our Homeless shelter box in our church hallway. REAP is also making caps for chemo patients which we will deliver at the same time. If you want to help sew them, let Cheri Rissman know.

Please find copies of their wish list available in the usual places around Church, so you can take one home. Please return your goodies to the appropriate big box in our church hallway. Do you still receive US Mail?  Your used postage stamps can be turned into necessities for Christian missions world-wide.  A local woman will collect our stamps hanging in a bag on the bulletin board.  If you can contribute any stamps, please leave a 1/2 inch margin around each one (or the whole envelope).
