Blanket Sunday
Blanket Sunday
February 9, 2025
It’s time to help Church World Service with our Blanket Sunday! This is about so much more than just blankets! Families have lost their homes from tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and other disasters!! We can show them we care, by giving blankets, emergency food, & shelter. Other people struggle with crushing poverty. We can teach them sustainable farming practices & help with access to clean, safe water! All this happens when you donate to Blanket Sunday! Please write your checks to First Presbyterian Church. Write "blankets" on the memo line.
Your mission committee thanks you for your generosity
ANNUAL MEETING
OF THE CONGREGATION
JANUARY 26, 2025
In accordance with the bylaws, the Session is required to call the Annual Meeting of the Congregation and Corporation on the last Sunday in January each year for the purpose of receiving and hearing the annual reports. The meeting will be held on January 26, 2025, immediately following the 10:00 a.m. worship service. If you will be unable to attend that meeting, any votes required can be called in to the office or sent by email to my attention.

Collection for Berrien County Cancer Service
For the Berrien County Cancer Service, we are collecting bottles of Ensure and Boost. This is very helpful to cancer patients. This is an ongoing mission. If you would like to help, just place them in our Homeless shelter box in our church hallway. REAP is also making caps for chemo patients which we will deliver at the same time. If you want to help sew them, let Cheri Rissman know.
Just a reminder
The Deacons are gathering items for the Domestic Violence Shelter and Homeless Shelter in Berrien County. Please find copies of their wish list available in the usual places around Church, so you can take one home. Please return your goodies to the appropriate big box in our church hallway. The Deacons sincerely thank you for your help!!
SAVE YOUR USED POSTAGE STAMPS
Do you still receive US Mail? Your used postage stamps can be turned into necessities for Christian missions world-wide. A local woman will collect our stamps hanging in a bag on the bulletin board. If you can contribute any stamps, please leave a 1/2 inch margin around each one (or the whole envelope).
Thank you from Missions and Outreach
