ADVENT BOOK STUDY

Expect the unexpected this Christmas.

This four-week Advent study focuses on the experiences of four sets of often overlooked characters in the Nativity story. During this Advent season, Author Rachel Billups guides readers through the themes of hope, love, joy, and peace by sharing the stories of Elizabeth and Zechariah, Herod, the Magi, and the shepherds. Each set of unexpected characters has something to teach about living faithfully on the journey to Christmas.

The 4-week study will take place on Monday’s from 10:00-11:00am beginning December 1^st.   Please sign up by November 17^th so a book can be ordered for you!

For 75 years Heifer International has provided livestock & sustainable agricultural training to struggling communities around the world. Our Heifer Project will be Sunday November 16. This year we’ll offer animal shares plus baked goods and garden/farm produce only, no crafts.

Everyone should price their own items. Set up is Sat. Nov. 15^th at 1 p.m. so bring items then or by 10 a.m. Nov. 16. We prefer after service sales only.

Collection for Berrien County Cancer Service

For the Berrien County Cancer Service, we are collecting bottles of Ensure and Boost. This is very helpful to cancer patients. This is an ongoing mission. If you would like to help, just place them in our Homeless shelter box in our church hallway. REAP is also making caps for chemo patients which we will deliver at the same time. If you want to help sew them, let Cheri Rissman know.

Just a reminder

The Deacons are gathering items for the Domestic Violence Shelter and Homeless Shelter in Berrien County. Please find copies of their wish list available in the usual places around Church, so you can take one home. Please return your goodies to the appropriate big box in our church hallway. The Deacons sincerely thank you for your help!!

SAVE YOUR USED POSTAGE STAMPS

Do you still receive US Mail?  Your used postage stamps can be turned into necessities for Christian missions world-wide.  A local woman will collect our stamps hanging in a bag on the bulletin board.  If you can contribute any stamps, please leave a 1/2 inch margin around each one (or the whole envelope).

It’s time for some fellowship and cards!
