Your generous donation to the Church World Service Blankets+ program tells people in crisis, “You’re not alone. Someone cares.”

Families who have lost their homes to tornadoes, floods, earthquakes and other disasters are getting help with blankets, emergency food and shelter—and with rebuilding their lives and livelihoods.

People struggling against crushing poverty and harsh climates are learning sustainable farming practices that will help them keep food on the table– and take it to market

Vulnerable children have access to clean, safe water and the nutritional food essential to growth, development and life itself.  PLEASE GIVE GENEROUSLY!

Family Movie Night

 Bring your kids on Saturday, January 13 for a showing of Disney’s Scottish tale “Brave”, rated PG, on the big screen in fellowship hall.  Starting at 6:00 PM, we’ll play games, mix a few candies into our popcorn and settle in for the show.  Bring a floor blanket and a pillow!  Let us know if you like this new family event by liking it @NilesFirstPres on Facebook.

Kids Closet

Beginning on the first Sunday of Advent, December 3, the Kid's Closet will be doing the Advent underwear request again, but with just some specific needs.  We're looking for boys 4T and 5T underwear and all sizes of socks.  Of course, we'll accept all sizes, but these are our primary needs.

Library News – Read, Return, Repeat

 Last year, our library had a very successful fall book sale and was able to purchase two, new comfortable club chairs.  We invite you to come in and sit with a good book, whether it’s off our shelves, on your kindle or phone!  We’ve been gifted with a few bags of book donations over the past year, but we do not have enough to run our next sale.  If you are doing some fall cleaning, we’d love to receive your books and DVDs.  We are always happy to receive new book donations in honor or in memory of loved ones.  Currently we would like to add the following new books: Any book on local history or by a current/former member/pastor, biographies, any book by Max Lucado, The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel (adult version) and The Total Money Makeover, by Dave Ramsey.
